Explore the poetic beauty of the human experience with Field of No Justice

???? UNDER THE LAMPLIGHT-

Poetical escapism in Field of No Justice: Egyptian poet Sara El Kamel’s debut collection of poems is a masterful engagement of myth and metaphor. Published as part of a limited-edition box set called Nane: New-Generation African Poets, El Kamel’s poetry brings to mind an inviting world of timeless fantasy that offers solace in its beauty, comfort, and honesty. The poems are musical in their delivery, and a character-driven narrative makes each poem an emotional experience offering insights into the human experience. While each poem can be read and savored individually, we recommend going through them in order. Presented in an arc form, the poems begin with themes about origins and self-discovery of gender then move onto themes of political resistance, ending with poems that examine how the personal and political are connected.
