The first day of the no vaccine, no government facilities is over and the verdict is out: Citizens voiced mixed opinions of the decision to not allow unvaccinated people into government facilities. Some are for the measure, believing that it will limit the spread of covid and advocated for it to be extended to schools as well. Others were unhappy with the inconvenience of having to carry their vaccination certificate around. From the Department of the Obvious: The aim of the requirement is to push citizens to get jabbed, Health Ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar told Yahduth Fi Masr (watch, runtime: 6:35), adding that the state is targeting the vaccination of 8 mn children in the 12-15 age bracket after their registration on the Health Ministry’s website started yesterday.
