El Shorbagy, El Sherbiny win El Gouna International Squash Open 2021

Women’s squash world no.1 Nour El Sherbiny and men’s world no.2 Mohamed ElShorbagy won the 2021 El Gouna International Squash Open. El Shorbagy took the title after defeating world no.4 Paul Coll, while El Sherbiny won against world no.2 Nouran Gohar. The world’s top 96 players competed in the tournament, which paid out USD 300k in prize money to the champions. The last El Gouna Open, played in 2019, saw Egyptians Raneem El Welily and Ali Farag win the titles.

IN OTHER SPORTS NEWS- Al Ahly claimed the African Super Cup title for the seventh time after beating Morocco’s Renaissance Berkane 2-0 in Doha on Friday. Mohamed Sherif scored the opening goal, while substitute Salah Mohsen sealed the tie with a second goal in the 82nd minute.
