Correction: Royal Ceramica is targeting exports to Africa, but not investing in Morocco

CORRECTION- Contrary to a report in the domestic press that we noted in yesterday’s edition, Royal Ceramica is not pursuing an EUR 12 mn investment in Morocco. Royal Ceramica CEO Hossam El Sallab reached out yesterday to let us know that the company is not investing in manufacturing facilities “in Morocco or any other markets for the time being. However, we are working by the hour to increase our exports to Africa as part of our plan to export 8 mn sqm to Africa over five years, especially to Morocco and West Africa.” El Sallab says the export drive is being made easier by Egypt’s preferential trade agreements with African countries.
