House Speaker Ali Abdel Aal called for an ‘emergency’ plenary session of the House tomorrow to discuss amendments to laws regulating the nation’s nuclear power industry. The announcement came after the House Energy and Environment Committee approved yesterday amendments to the law governing the Nuclear Power Plant Authority (NPPA) that would give the authority full oversight and regulatory power over the sector, Ahram Gate reports.
