THE MARKET ON THURSDAY: The EGX30 ended Thursday’s session up 0.3%. CIB, the index heaviest constituent ended down 0.7%. EGX30’s top performing constituents were: Egyptian Iron & Steel up 5.9%, SODIC up 3.6%, and Egyptian Resorts up 3.3%. Thursday’s worst performing stocks were: Palm Hills down 2.2%, Arab Cotton Ginning down 2.0%, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank down 1.9%. The market turnover was EGP 1.6 bn, and local investors were the sole net buyers.
