Hidden chamber at the Great Pyramid uncovered thanks to cosmic ray tech
Dominating the conversation on Egypt this morning: Cosmic ray tech reveals hidden corridor inside Great Pyramid. A nine-meter long, two-meter wide hidden corridor has been discovered near the main entrance to the Pyramid of Khufu in Giza, the Tourism Ministry announced at a press conference on Thursday. Scientists made the discovery as part of the Scan Pyramids project using a technology called muon radiography, which uses cosmic ray particles to generate 3D models of structures’ insides, according to a study published in the journal Nature.
