Egypt’s largest-ever Olympic delegation is heading to Tokyo: Egypt will take part in some 24 games at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics — the largest number of events that the nation has participated in its history in the Olympics, the Egyptian Olympic Committee’s secretary general Sherif El Eryan told OnTime Sport FM, reports King Fut. “Egypt’s delegation in the Tokyo Olympics consists of 134 athletes so far, and they can reach 140 until 28 June, the last date for Egyptian athletes to qualify,” El Eryan said, stressing that “this is the largest Egyptian delegation in the history of the Olympics, surpassing our record in the 2016 Rio Olympics.”
