Leading the conversation on the airwaves last night: The Coptic Orthodox Church’s decision to suspend mass, funerals, and other prayers and services at churches for one month after five priests passed away from covid-19 and several other worshipers tested positive. The decision applies to Cairo and Alexandria, while churches in other cities across the country have the freedom to decide on their own whether to follow suit, Pope Tawadros II told Kelma Akhira’s Lamees El Hadidi. No decision has been made yet on the fate of Christmas mass, Tawadros said (watch, runtime: 11:03).
