Orange Ramadan 2020 ad ranked #2 on YouTube ad list
KUDOS- Orange’s Ramadan 2020 advertisement has snagged the #2 spot in the Cannes YouTube Ads Leaderboard list which ranks the most popular global video ads released between June 2020 and May 2021, according to a press release (pdf). The advertisement (watch, runtime: 02:26) was released in the midst of the pandemic lockdowns and showed all the ways families and friends were keeping in touch and making memories together through video calls — with Hussain Al Jassmi singing in the background. The ad was watched more than 78 mn times on YouTube, while together the 10 ads on the list garnered over 635 mn global views. Topping the Cannes list is Hyundai’s collaborative ad with K-pop band BTS titled For the Earth (watch, runtime: 1:09).
